Shaq Saw a UFO in 1997 and Obama Says They Definitely Exist

The UFO train just keeps on rolling along. After the “60 Minutes” segment on UFOs aired and another video taken by a military pilot was released, the celebrities started coming out of the woodwork as every talk show went looking for their own audience-grabbing stories. Actor/comedian/nerd Patton Oswalt appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with a UFO encounter story involving his military pilot father. Now we have former NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and former President Barack Obama sharing their own stories – and yes, Obama’s involves his time in the Oval Office. What took him so long? Let’s find out.

“I could have sweared I saw this flying saucer come down with all the lights and it was spinning [makes spinning noises]. Then it took off and everything happened in less than five seconds.”

In response to Jimmy Kimmel’s question on whether he saw the “60 Minutes” piece, Shaquille O’Neal said he heard about it, and then shared that he believes in UFOs because he’s had his own encounter – and if there’s anyone you want to be with when the aliens land, it would be someone as large and intimidating as Shaq. He told Kimmel the incident occurred in 1997 while he was on a double date. They were coming from Hollywood Video (some date!) in Madera, California, and driving past an open lot next to the local fairground when he claims everyone in the car witnessed a UFO.

Did the UFO see Shaq?

Shaq said he’d never told the story before because he didn’t want people to think he was crazy, and Kimmel reiterated that the pilots on “60 Minutes” all had that same feeling. (Watch the clip here.) Who’s going to call Shaq crazy? Maybe Charles Barkley, who Shaq thinks is an alien, but no one else. Will any other NBA stars come out with UFO stories? Steph Curry once said he’s a moon landing denier and Kyrie Irving got involved in a flat earth discussion, but those are topics for another talk show.

“But the truth is that when I came into office, I asked, right, I was like alright, is there the lab somewhere where we’re keeping the alien specimens and space ship? And you know, they did a little bit of research and the answer was no.”

On “The Late Late Show,” former President Barack Obama was asked about aliens and UFOs and opened with his standard “Well, when it when it comes to aliens, there’s some things I just can’t tell you on air.” But he then got serious and revealed he HAD asked about them – at least the crashed kind – and was told the government didn’t have any. Then the former president weighed in on the latest videos and photos. (Watch the clip here.)

No dead aliens or space ship pieces, but …

“But what is true, and I’m actually being serious here, is that there are, there’s footage and records of objects in the skies, that we don’t know exactly what they are, we can’t explain how they moved, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. And so, you know I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”

Both Shaquille O’Neal and former president Obama claim to be serious. Do you believe either one of them? If not them, then who?

Who’s next?
